Santa Paws Pictures
Naughty or nice? Bring your four-legged best friend for photos with Santa at The Junior League of Austin’s Community Impact Center. Include your four-legged family member in this year’s holiday magic with our first-ever Santa Paws! Bring your furry friend for a picture with Santa in front of a beautiful backdrop at The Junior League of Austin’s Community Impact Center. Photos will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis. Upon arrival, you will sign in for a time slot. You will receive a link to a digital copy of the photo. Images will be high-resolution downloads and perfect for holiday cards. Please note that all pets must stay on a leash at all times. November 17 3 p.m. – 6 p.m.
Santa Pictures at Palmer Events Center
Santa is back at Palmer Events Center during A Christmas Affair market hours! Visit him upstairs during select times on Friday, Nov. 22, and Saturday, Nov. 23, to get a picture and capture the holiday magic. Use our photobooth and receive a digital copy of your pictures. Santa is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note: Santa will be available on Friday from 1- 4p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m.- 1 p.m. upstairs in the back hallway by the ballroom.
Candle Workshop with Shabby Wick
Take a break from shopping and create your custom Christmas in Bloom holiday candle with The Shabby Wick. Mix your own unique scent blend in an 8 oz. soy wax candle. This ticket also includes a market day pass. Please note that this event will be held under the West Canopy at Palmer Events Center. Friday, November 22 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Fall Container Garden Class with Eden Rose Botanicals
Join us as we create gorgeous seasonal container gardens on Saturday, Nov. 23, from 3-4 p.m. In this make-and-take workshop, Eden Rose Botanicals owner, Yvette Ruiz, will show participants the many options available to create beautiful fall-to-winter, live-plant potted arrangements. Plant choices include pansies, kale, grasses, creeping jenny, marigolds, blue daze, and more. Bring a friend and have some fun! Price includes the cost of materials (12-inch planter, soil, and plant material) and a market day pass. Please note that this event will be held under the West Canopy at Palmer Events Center.
Insider Tips for Holiday Hosting & Decor
Have you ever marveled at the gorgeous decor at A Christmas Affair? At this seminar, you’ll learn tips and tricks on holiday hosting and decor from three former A Christmas Affair Chairs! Sandy Alcala, Cathy Northcutt, and Nancy Prideaux will go over things like food and drink presentation, formulas for decorating your tree, tying the perfect bow every time, and more! Come enjoy a drink while you learn how to elevate your holiday hosting and create magic with items you may already have. This ticket also includes a market day pass to finish your shopping on Sunday. Make & Take Floral Arrangement Class
A Christmas in Bloom wouldn’t be complete without your own bouquet of seasonal florals. Learn from the best on how to masterfully create a make-and-take home floral arrangement in a glass vase you can display for Thanksgiving or gift to someone special. This event will take place in the upstairs ballroom. Sunday November 24 2:30 p.m – 4 p.m.
